This Berkshire pork picnic roast is ideal for a comforting, hearty meal. Slow roasting or smoking brings out its rich flavor and tender texture.
Ingredients:
- 1 pork picnic roast (4-6 lbs)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- Optional: fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme)
- 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Rub the roast with olive oil, then season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Add fresh herbs if desired.
