Whole Berkshire Hog (Deposit)

Reserve your whole Berkshire hog with a deposit. The remaining balance will be invoiced once the hog goes to the processor and the hanging weight is confirmed.

Purchasing a whole hog is one of the most economical ways to fill your freezer with high-quality heritage pork raised right here on our farm.

Our next group of hogs is scheduled for processing March 2026.

How It Works

Step 1: Reserve Your Hog
Place a deposit to reserve a whole hog from our next processing date.

Step 2: Processing & Cut Instructions
We transport the hog to our butcher for processing. Once it arrives, the butcher will contact you to complete your cut sheet, where you can choose exactly how you want your pork processed.

You can decide things like:

  • Thickness of pork chops
  • How many roasts vs. ground pork
  • Sausage options
  • Smoked ham and bacon
  • Whether you want organs or lard

If you'd like guidance, we’re happy to send our recommended cut list.

Step 3: Pickup or Delivery
When your pork is ready, the butcher will notify you. You can either pick up your meat directly from the locker or we can arrange delivery.

A whole hog typically yields 160–180 pounds of packaged pork for your freezer.

Cost

There are two parts to the total cost:

1. The Hog (paid to our farm)
$2.50 per pound hanging weight
Typical hanging weight: 250–280 lbs

Estimated cost for the hog: $625–$700

You will receive an invoice for the remaining balance once the final hanging weight is confirmed.

2. Processing (paid directly to the butcher)
Typically $450–$550, depending on the cuts and smoking options you select.

Estimated Total Cost

Most customers spend $1,050–$1,250 total for a whole hog, including processing.

Shipping

We offer nationwide shipping for whole hog orders.

$120 flat shipping fee will be added to your order.

What Makes Our Pork Different

We raise heritage Berkshire hogs from birth to finish on our farm.

Berkshire pork is known for its exceptional flavor, tenderness, and rich marbling.

Our hogs are raised with:

  • plenty of space to move and root
  • a balanced grain ration grown on the Pesek family farm
  • supplemental foods like vegetable scraps, eggs, oats, and barley

We take pride in raising animals with care and producing pork that truly tastes different from what you’ll find in the grocery store.

No hormones. No antibiotics. Just really good pork.
